FAQs

Q

What kind of carpet cleaning machine do you use?

A

We use a truck mounted steam cleaning system.  The high powered motor provides deep cleaning and minimal drying time afterwards.

Q

How long does carpet cleaning take?

A

For an average home, based on 5 rooms, it takes between an hour and an hour and a half.

Q

Do I need to move my furniture?

A

If you want the areas under your furniture cleaned you will need to have it moved before the carpet technician arrives.  He does NOT move furniture.  Some people chose to leave large pieces in place and clean around them, moving only smaller items such as coffe table etc.

Q

Why can't you give me an exact time of when you will be here?

A

We allow a 2 hour window for your appointment.  This allows our technician extra time if a client needs additional rooms or services done.  It also factors in travel time between work sites.

Q

How can I make my carpet smell fresher?

A

Have our technician apply deoderizer to the whole house or just problem areas.

Q

Can I get my carpet cleaned if I live in an apartment or condo?

A

Yes, as long as we can reach the hose to the area you wish to have cleaned.  We have 100 feet of hose we can run from the truck mounted cleaner. We need to be able to pull close enough to the door, or even window, to fall within this limit.  If you live on an upper story, or if there is a courtyard in front of your entryway we unfortunately may not be able to clean your carpet.

Q

How do I pay?

A

At this time we accept cash or check.

Q

How long will it take for my carpet to dry after cleaning?

A

Between 8 and 24 hours.  If the home is too cool or too warm can cause the drying time to take longer. Using ceiling and/or floor fans will help speed drying time.

Q

How often should I have my carpet cleaned?

A

The minimum reccomendation is once a year.  If you have a high traffic household, pets or children you will most likely need services more often.

Q

Do I need to vacuum before I have my carpet cleaned?

A

Yes.  Our truck mounted steam cleaing system will work best if there is not additional debris to pick up off the floor.  If you do not vacuum prior to cleaning our technician can do it for you at a charge of $5.00 per room.

Q

What can I do to prevent future stains?

A

Have our technician treat your carpet with our patented Teflon protector.

Q

What type of cleaner do you use for carpet?

A

We use Redline pre-soak treatment.  It is an environmentaly friendly, plant based cleaning solution.  It is safe for children, pets or those with harsh chemical sensitivities.  It has a fresh, natural citrus smell.
